UNESCO ARAB SCIENCE PODIUM

The Arab Science Podium is a UNESCO regional scientific initiative launched in 2022, aiming to connect Arab scientists, create interactive ecosystems in science, and build the largest Arab scientific resources database in 22 countries of the Middle East and North Africa region.

As open science cannot be developed and meet the major challenges of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) without the support of effective science, technology, and innovation (STI) policies, the Arab Science Podium also supports decision-makers in building their next national innovation strategy.

The initiative is coordinated by the UNESCO regional and national offices in Amman, Baghdad, Beirut, Cairo, Doha, Khartoum, and Rabat which are committed to the scientific development of the Arab Member States.
